Statute 59-2120: Interstate adoption; procedures.
Interstate placements of children shall comply with the
procedures contained in the interstate compact on placement of children as
set forth in
K.S.A. 38-1202 and amendments thereto. Any professional
providing services related to the placement of children for adoption who
fails to comply with the provisions of the interstate compact for the
placement of children is guilty of a class C misdemeanor. For the purposes
of this section, "professional" means any person who receives payment or
compensation for providing services related to the placement of children for
adoption.
