Statute 48-911: Mobile support units; duties of adjutant general.
The adjutant general, at the request of the governor, is authorized to
create and establish such number of mobile support units as may be
necessary to reinforce the emergency management activities
of county,
city and interjurisdictional disaster agencies in stricken areas and with
due consideration of the plans of the federal government and of other
states. The adjutant general shall appoint a commander for each such unit
who shall have primary responsibility for the organization, administration
and operation of such unit for such purposes. Mobile support units shall be
called to duty upon orders of the adjutant general, with the approval of
the governor, and shall perform their functions in any part of the state or
in other states upon the conditions authorized under the provisions of this
act.
