Statute 48-905a: Division of emergency management, establishment.
(a) The division of emergency preparedness within the
office of
the
adjutant general
is hereby abolished and there is hereby established within the office of
the adjutant general a division of emergency management. To the extent
provided in this act, all of the powers, duties and functions of such
division of emergency preparedness are hereby transferred to and conferred and
imposed upon
the division of emergency management. The division of emergency
management and the powers, duties and functions thereof shall be
administered, by the adjutant
general, who shall be the chief administrative officer thereof, under the
supervision of the governor.
(b) Whenever the division of emergency preparedness within the office of the
adjutant general, or words of like effect, is referred to or designated by
a statute, contract or other document, such reference or designation shall
be deemed to apply to the division of emergency management.
(c) The division of emergency management shall be a continuation of
the division of emergency preparedness within the office of the adjutant
general as the
same existed prior to the effective date of this act.
