Statute 48-405: Term of enlistment; form of oath by cadet.
The term of an enlistment shall be for two years, unless terminated by
discharge or removal from the institution as a student. Each cadet shall be
required to take the following oath of enlistment: "I do solemnly swear [or
affirm] that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the United States of
America and to the state of Kansas, and that I will serve them faithfully
and honestly against all their enemies whomsoever, and that I will obey the
orders of the governor and of the officers appointed over me."
