Statute 21-2802: Trading stamps or similar devices redeemable in cash or other
thing of value prohibited.
On and after April 16, 1958, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
association or corporation to use, issue or distribute, or for any person,
firm, association or corporation to furnish to any other person, firm,
association, or corporation to use, issue or distribute, in, with, or for
the sale of any goods, wares or merchandise, any stamps, coupons, tickets,
certificates, cards or other similar devices which shall entitle the
purchaser receiving the same with the sale of goods, wares, or merchandise
to procure from any person, firm, association, or corporation, any cash or
any other thing of value upon the production of any number of said stamps,
coupons, tickets, certificates, cards, or other similar devices. On and
after April 16, 1958, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
association, or corporation to redeem any stamps, coupons, tickets,
certificates, cards, or other similar devices, the use, issuance,
distribution or furnishing of which is made unlawful by the preceding
provisions of this section.
