Statute 21-2504: Attorney general may call upon designated officers for
information; forms.
(a) For the purpose of controlling crime and obtaining reliable statistics
about crime and criminals, the attorney general may call upon and obtain from
the clerks of district courts, sheriffs, police departments and county
attorneys all information that said attorney general may deem necessary in
ascertaining the true condition of the crime situation; and it shall be the
duty of the above-mentioned officers to furnish the information so requested
by the attorney general.
(b) The attorney general shall provide, upon request, forms for
fingerprint impressions, for the permanent record of offenses, and for the
reports of offenses required by K.S.A. 21-2501 and 21-2501a.
